Most visitors spend about an hour to an hour and a half with us. But you can look around for as long as you want. Some visitors stay for three hours.
The Royal FloraHolland visitor centre is opened from 7 am to 11 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Thursdays from 7 am to 9 am.
We recommend that you arrive between 7 am and 8 pm and at 7 am on Thursdays in order to see as many flowers and as much action as possible!
The auction is a market: when everything is sold, the auction is over. The clocks start auctioning early and the flowers still have to be packaged and transported.
The end time depends on the volumes of flowers brought to auction by growers the night before. This is different every day. But by 11:30 am or midday, the building is empty and there are no flowers left to see.
During the weekends, the buyers do not work; which means no auction and no flowers!

If you download it and type “Aalsmeer” in the search bar, you will see the Royal FloraHolland tour, amongst others.
If you download it, you can then take the tour offline. You will find pink signs with the number 1 through 37 along the walking route, these numbers correspond to the numbers in the app. For every number, the app will give you a one-minute explanation/summary of what you see.
If you click on the i, you will see more detailed information per number. The app is available in 7 languages: Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Chinese. There is also a kids’ version, but it is only available in Dutch.
We do. The network is called “Guest” and there is no password. You can also download the app when you get here, but if you do it beforehand, you can get started sooner.

We have 35 flower and plant clocks.
Globally, it takes about 24 to 48 hours after the grower cuts the flower in the greenhouse for flowers to become available at flower shops.
Some of our varieties are only fresh for up to 3 days. (Lathyrus) Other varieties still look lovely after more than 2 weeks.
