Frequently asked questions

  • How long does a visit take?

Most visitors spend about an hour to an hour and a half with us. But you can look around for as long as you want. Some visitors stay for three hours.

  • What are the opening hours?

The Royal FloraHolland visitor centre is opened from 7 am to 11 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Thursdays from 7 am to 9 am.

We recommend that you arrive between 7 am and 8 pm and at 7 am on Thursdays in order to see as many flowers and as much action as possible!

  • Why do you open so early, and why not the entire day? And why are you closed on weekends?

The auction is a market: when everything is sold, the auction is over. The clocks start auctioning early and the flowers still have to be packaged and transported.

The end time depends on the volumes of flowers brought to auction by growers the night before. This is different every day. But by 11:30 am or midday, the building is empty and there are no flowers left to see.

During the weekends, the buyers do not work; which means no auction and no flowers!

  • How long is the route?

Almost 2 kilometres, one kilometre to and one kilometre from.

  • How much does a ticket cost?

    Individual ticket 8.00 euros p.p.
    Group rate > 15 persons 7.00 euros p.p.
